Hi, everyone! For those of you who are new to Kreations by Kim, welcome, and for those of you who have visited before, welcome back!
I love easel cards. In my opinion, they're not only a card, but a home decor piece to brighten up the day of the recipient.
I used the pattern that Mary Grubbs posted in Cardz TV on YouTube a few years ago to make my easel card. You can find her video here. This makes a standard A2 card, which is 4 1/4 by 5 1/2 inches.
For the base I used a piece of Dusty Concord cardstock by Tim Holtz and Co'ordinations. The lighter purple paper at the bottom, the 2 pink pieces and the striped patterned paper are from Graphic 45's Time to Flourish 6 by 6 paper pad.
I stamped the frame around the sentiment with Grape Jelly ink by Memento, and "Thinking of You" in VersaFine Onyx Black ink. Both stamps are from the Simple Sayings stamp set from Tim Holtz and Stampers Anonymous. I went around the frame with Opal glitter glue from Hobby Lobby for some shimmer.
On the large Dusty Concord panel, I stamped the verse from Maymay Made it's "Pray for the Cure" stamp set with VersaMark ink and heat embossed it with White Embossing powder by Wow. This is such a vivid white embossing powder and is my favorite white powder.
I stamped the angels from Maymay's "Pray for the Cure" and "Pray for the Cure Companion" set with VersaMark ink and heat embossed it with Gold Glitter embossing powder by Zing by American Crafts. I love the sparkle that this embossing powder adds along with the metallic finish.
The crosses were from Maymay's "My Refuge" stamp set and were heat embossed with the same embossing powder that I used for the angels.
I hope you enjoy today's card.
Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a wonderful day!
I love it!
