Bee Yourself ATC

Hi, everyone!

Today I made an Artist Trading Card, also known as an ATC, for my Facebook Group, Kim's Angelic KreationsOn Sundays and Thursdays I post a project that I've made that was inspired by something I saw online or by something that another crafter did.

First of all, you may be wondering what an ATC is.  An ATC is a 2 1/2 by 3 1/2 inch piece of artwork.  They are not to be sold, but are to be traded or used as a way for an artist to show a small sample of their work.

I prefer to use MDF wood for my ATC bases, which I purchase from one of my favorite stores, G's Embellishment EmporiumGareth has many styles of ATC bases from Fernli Designs, so I'm sure that you'll find one that you like.

Here's the ATC I made today:

I sprayed a 3 1/2 by 2 1/2 inch piece of Canson 140 lb watercolor paper with Tim Holtz's Distress Spray Stain in Fossilized Amber and adhered it to the base with Art Glitter glue, which you can purchase ahttp://www.maymaymadeit.com/ .  Maymay is out until Spring as the company will not ship it in cold weather due to the product freezing.  This glue is my go-to adhesive.

I cut the honeycomb twice with the Honeycomb Frameworks die by Tim Holtz Alterations from yellow cardstock and glued it to the amber background with the same glue.

I die cut both purple pieces with nesting dies by Sizzix and stamped "Bee Yourself"  from Maymay's "The Bee's Knees" stamp set, which available from her store with Black Onyx VersaFine Pigment ink.  This is my preferred ink for sentiments and detailed images.

The bees on either side of the label I purchased from G's Embellishment Emporium.  You can purchase them here.  They are self-adhesive, but to ensure they stay on, I put a bit of Art Glitter Glue on the adhesive that's on the bee.

I think that this ATC is simple, but the message carries a big impact.
